Ballot Watch NG

A nonpartisan tool that reads every result sheet INEC publishes with our technology, so citizens, journalists and courts can check results against the sheets they come from.

What it can do

Read every sheet, and get the count right.

01.

From the field

Observers capture the result at their polling unit and send it through our app.

02.

From IReV

Our technology reads every result sheet INEC publishes on IReV, as it is published.

03.

Accurate

In Osun, our count matched INEC's declared result to within 0.23% for every party INEC listed.

04.

Checked

Anything uncertain is checked by trained reviewers. Only accepted records are published.

WHY BALLOT WATCH?

What Ballot Watch will and will not do.

It can

  • Read every result sheet INEC publishes, as it is published
  • Publish an open count that always shows its coverage and the time
  • Tie every finding to a specific sheet a reader can inspect
  • Work offline in the field and sync later
  • Protect observer identities under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023

It will not

  • Declare a winner. INEC declares results
  • Present its count as official INEC results
  • Call anything fraud unless the evidence supports it
  • Ask anyone which party they support
  • Take instruction from any party or candidate
